As a group
we decided that a written brief would be our best option as we can get all the
information from our client that we would need for us to make our video for the
client. Also having it all written down means we could always refer back to it
in order to keep on track with the video. We thought this would be better in
comparison to a past experience having a vocal brief, because it means we didn’t
have worry about travel costs to speak with our client to get a vocal brief and
also meant we could get the information quickly through emails. By using a
written brief we was able to know what our client needed by the following day
after sending them a brief to respond to which meant we could get straight to
work on the project ahead.
As a team we
worked well and fast, we managed to get a location and grab some pictures we
needed in order for us to edit. We used each other’s homes and resources such
as final cut pro X to edit as a team and get the final piece ready for our
client. We had no problems with legal as the company act as landlords of homes
we was legally allowed to take pictures of properties as advertisement for the
company and the properties themselves. Due to locations being in the local area
as well to take pictures it was easy to get to and no trouble entering the
properties.
Our client gave us positive feedback of the video over the phone. They said that the images we used where well lit and excellent quality and that the advert was short and got the message across exactly how they wanted. It promoted what they wanted to promote in order to compete with other estate agents. We was very pleased with our positive feedback as it builds confidence for us to go on and make more videos for companies, but it’s also good for us to get some negative feedback where possible in order to improve on this so we can improve on future projects.
